At the recent Washington State Genealogical Society conference in Arlington, Washington, two members of EWGS were recognized first by EWGS and then publicly at the conference by WSGS. Shirley Penna-Oakes was present to accept her award. (My pix of her receiving the award was not good; I opted to share this better one of the two of us.)
Lola King McCreary was not present to receive her award but was also recognized by EWGS and then WSGS for her service to EWGS.
Members of the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society are great folks and are accomplishing great things!
