Spotlight on Mary Malone Holcomb

Mary "Kathy" Malone Holcomb has been a tremendous asset to the EWGS for many years. You know her as the busily-scurrying hospitality person at our meetings and workshops. She has also organized the EWGS December meeting for several years and she is currently serving as EWGS Vice- President and is a member of the Tuesday Gals who serve in the library on Tuesdays.

But bet you didn't know that she was named Mary because "all first daughters of all daughters are named Mary." Her parents, Robert Malone, born in Indiana, and Mattie Myree Hutchins, born in North Carolina. WHen she's not doing genealogy, and working for the cemetery causes, or doing EWGS work, she enjoys gardening and needlework.

Her favorite color is blue and her favorite dessert "are the lemon cookies at Nordstom's."

Meet Mary Malone Holcomb!
